Harvest Kitchen

Stephen Weigel Bailey's tendencies to mix concrète sounds and processed sounds convey scintillating chatter, stirring up alertness and excitement. His wildly unpredictable textures often sound like grooves. Held chords and noises evolve organically and surprisingly. Sounds that could be dwelled upon for being interesting in themselves fade away fleetingly. Sudden still and beautiful moments briefly take you out of the extreme detail as a listener. Favorite track: Harvest Kitchen, Part 1.

Sand 21:58

about

4 acousmatic computer-music works, all re-mastered and re-mixed in the last couple of years, spanning projects from 2000 until 2019. Sand (2000-2002), Harvest Kitchen Part 1 and 2 (2007-2015), and Divertimento in Eb (2009). The pieces were given extensive sonic treatment with some vintage analog mastering gear as well as a number of mastering plugins, working with mixing/mastering engineer and musician Augustus Arnone.

BONUS tracks include the 4 stereo pairs (=8 mono stems) needed to play the Harvest Kitchen pieces in their full octophonic glory.
