2 musical works are placed on top of each other, and "windowed" into repeating pulsing slices. Sometimes a slice is spectrally analyzed and composed out into a glowing, held chord. All of the rhythmic groupings (numbers of repetitions, etc.) are laid out in a symmetrical pattern over the whole piece. So there is very little "sculpting" kind of composition on the surface of the music, and in that sense, the piece is algorithmic and conceptual.
